When Might Your Horse Benefit?

GastriVet may be useful when your horse needs additional gastric support, particularly if you've noticed:

• Changes in behaviour or irritability

• Unexplained weight loss or poor condition

• Reduced energy or performance

• Discomfort during grooming or tacking up

• Signs of possible digestive discomfort

These signs can have several causes. Persistent symptoms, weight loss or suspected gastric ulcers should always be assessed by your vet.

How Does GastriVet Work?

Stomach Acid – Supporting a Healthy Balance

Calcium carbonate and magnesium oxide help buffer acidity, supporting a comfortable stomach environment.

The formula is designed to help maintain healthy gastric pH while supporting the stomach's natural protective processes.

Gastric Lining – Nourishing and Protecting

Psyllium husks and apple-derived pectin provide gelling properties that help support the protective environment of the stomach lining.

Marshmallow leaves are traditionally used for their soothing properties, while L-glutamine provides nutritional support for cells lining the digestive tract.

Together, these ingredients help support the stomach's squamous and glandular regions.

Natural Protective Processes – Targeted Nutritional Care

The formula includes omega-rich plant ingredients, turmeric, ginger and other botanicals to complement the body's normal inflammatory response and overall digestive wellbeing.

Vitamin E contributes antioxidant support, while zinc plays a role in maintaining normal tissue health.

Hindgut Health – Five Star BioG

NAF's Five Star BioG combines three complementary approaches to digestive support.

Prebiotics

Chicory inulin and yeast-derived MOS help support a favourable environment for beneficial gut microbes.

Live Yeast Probiotic

Saccharomyces cerevisiae supports hindgut microbial activity and normal fibre digestion.

Postbiotics

Yeast-derived metabolites provide additional support for the gut environment and normal immune function.

Together, these ingredients help support a balanced digestive system and your horse's everyday comfort.
