Strawmax Straw Pellet Bedding
A healthy, ultra-absorbent and economical equine bedding option for your horse. Making a Strawmax Bed
Strawmax straw pellets work equally well on concrete or rubber matting, and as always when making a fresh bed, they work best in a clean and hygienic stable. To create the bed for a 12 ft x 12 ft stable use between six and eight bags.
Method 1
- Lay bags over stable floor & slice open.
- Water generously.
- Leave for an hour to allow pellets to absorb water.
- Tip each bag onto stable floor then fluff & spread.
Method 2
- Empty each individual bag direct onto the clean stable floor.
- Water generously with a hose pipe.
- Leave for an hour to allow pellets to absorb water.
- Fluff & spread.
Maintaining Your Strawmax Bed
Remove droppings daily with a close-tined fork and remove very wet patches as required.
Top up as necessary to maintain the optimum depth, this is usually between 1-2 pre watered bags per week.
Muck-out daily and top up with 1-2 bags as necessary per week.
Periodically it is recommended to remove all the bedding and sanitise.
